Accounts Payable Manager
About the Role We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Accounts Payable Manager to lead and optimize our AP operations. You will be responsible for the end-to-end AP lifecycle, from invoice processing to month-end close, while driving process improvements and leading a team to operational excellence. This is a key opportunity for a finance leader to make a measurable impact on our financial health and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Manage AP Operations: Oversee the entire accounts payable lifecycle, including invoice processing, the 3-way match, coding, and payment processing.
- Team Leadership & Development: Coach, mentor, and manage a team of AP Specialists, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Optimize cash flow, strengthen supplier partnerships, and identify opportunities to implement AP automation and ERP functionality.
- Ensure Compliance & Reporting: Own month-end close activities, enforce AP policies and internal controls, and support audits with accurate, well-documented records.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Procurement, Inventory, and other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial statements.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5-7+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, including 2-3 years in a team lead or supervisory role.
- Industry Background: Prior experience in manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (CPG) is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Dynamics) and advanced Excel.
- Leadership: Proven ability to motivate, train, and manage a high-performing team.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
