Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and maintaining financial accuracy. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software to support our financial operations effectively.
Duties
- Process and record incoming payments accurately and efficiently.
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable transactions using accounting software such as Sage.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients, ensuring compliance with billing procedures.
- Assist in the management of medical billing processes, including the application of ICD-10 codes where applicable.
- Collaborate with the public accounting team to ensure timely collection of outstanding accounts.
- Utilize technical accounting skills to analyze financial data and generate reports as needed.
- Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or similar role in a finance department.
- Strong understanding of account reconciliation processes and technical accounting principles.
- Familiarity with medical billing practices, including knowledge of ICD-10 coding is a plus.
- Proficient in accounting software; experience with Sage is highly desirable.
- Excellent math skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and team members professionally.
