Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a clinical setting, particularly focusing on Aesthetics & Wellness. This position requires a proactive individual who is skilled in medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient interaction. MUST SPEAK SPANISH
HOURS: Tuesdays- 3p-7p, Wednesdays, 10a-6p, every other weekend
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications as directed by providers and ensure proper documentation.
- Conduct routine checks of vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature.
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical histories and explaining procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment.
- Support the healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient care.
- Document patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Experience
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred, particularly in aesthetics or internal medicine.
- Familiarity with basic life support (BLS) techniques is essential.
- Proficiency in performing vital sign assessments and understanding medication administration protocols.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
