We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Marsh as a Alternative Risk Transfer Broker. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office. The successful candidate will lead daily operations from a support and administrative level, coordinating complex logistics and task assignments for client relationship projects while ensuring effective communication and problem resolution.
We will count on you to:
- Act as the lead advisory colleague on medium-sized, less complex books of business, developing a deep understanding of clients’ strategic priorities, risk strategies, and risk management needs to provide tailored advice.
- Utilize your risk expertise and industry knowledge to review client exposures and loss experience, developing solutions for standard client needs.
- Execute renewal and placement strategies in collaboration with the Placement, Advisory Leader, and Client Executive, ensuring alignment with client instructions.
- Assist in presentations to prospective clients and develop innovative solutions to attract new clients and projects.
- Partner with the Placement team to receive, negotiate, and evaluate quotes from carriers, delivering the best options to clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day service needs.
- Ensure quality in all client deliverables, including monitoring delivery and invoicing to guarantee client satisfaction.
- Stay informed about changing market conditions and contribute to the firm’s knowledge base within the product line through active internal communication.
What you need to have:
- “Must have” requirements include experience in risk management, client advisory, or insurance brokerage, along with strong relationship management skills and the ability to review exposures and develop solutions.
- Proven ability to execute renewal strategies and negotiate with carriers.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present to clients and internal teams effectively.
- A proactive approach to staying current with market trends and industry knowledge.

- “Good to have” requirements include industry certifications (e.g., CPCU, ARM), experience working with medium-sized client portfolios, and familiarity with specific industry sectors or markets.
- Innovative thinking and a track record of developing creative risk management solutions.
- Experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a client advisory setting.
- 2-5 years of insurance experience
- Client facing/ market facing experience preferred

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $89,400 to $190,400.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
