Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architectural Drafter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed architectural drawings and plans using various drafting software. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, construction methods, and the ability to collaborate effectively with architects and engineers. The successful candidate will have experience with a range of CAD tools and a passion for innovative design.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed architectural drawings and schematics using software such as Revit.
- Lead the development of construction documents for high-end residential projects.
- Manage and oversee the production team’s workflow in Revit.
- Create 3D models using tools like SketchUp, Rhinoceros 3D, and Grasshopper 3D.
- Apply technical knowledge of Western wood residential framing to ensure constructability.
- Prepare construction documents including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations during the drafting process.
- Revise drawings based on feedback from team members or clients.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations and graphic design materials for client meetings.
- Maintain organized records of all drafts, revisions, and project documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional Revit experience (production-level).
- Proven expertise in Western wood residential framing systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, detailing, and code compliance.
- Ability to lead and coordinate a team effectively.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $64,270.91 - $119,401.53 per year
