Your Impact as Production Manager
As a Production Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind our Greensboro plant’s success—leading teams, optimizing operations, and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety
You’ll manage supervisors and hourly employees, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and champion continuous improvement initiatives that keep us ahead of the curve
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cost-efficient manufacturing across production, shipping, maintenance, QA, and support teams.
- Manage production scheduling and communicate KPI performance to leadership.
- Monitor daily reports to assess cost center performance, scrap rates, overtime, and material usage.
- Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with QA, corporate, and sales teams to address customer needs.
- Prioritize maintenance and preventive actions with the Maintenance Manager.
- Coach and develop employees through training, reviews, and performance management.
- Drive LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts.
- Identify opportunities to enhance processes, equipment, and resource utilization
What You Bring
- 10+ years in manufacturing, including 4+ years in upper-level supervision.
- Deep knowledge of production planning, equipment, and financial controls.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with QAD, MRP, or SAP preferred.
- Experience in lean manufacturing principles.
- Background in refractories or ceramics is a plus.

This role requires the ability to work in a dynamic manufacturing setting with extended periods of standing and sitting.
