Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our security team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining safety and security at our facilities. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Armed Security Officer will be tasked with protecting property, personnel, and assets while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or unauthorized activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, taking appropriate action as needed.
- Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems and other monitoring tools.
- Enforce policies and procedures related to safety and security.
- Provide conflict management support during incidents involving personnel or visitors.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
- Maintain accurate logs of activities, incidents, and observations during shifts.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
- Administer first aid or CPR as required in emergency situations.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention strategies is advantageous.
- Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations effectively.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while making sound decisions.
- A valid armed security officer license or certification is required.
