Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Commercial Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our growing commercial property portfolio. This is an in-person role that provides essential support to the Property Managers and is ideal for someone who is discerning, data-driven, and customer service oriented.
Working side-by-side with the Property Managers, you will help ensure properties operate efficiently and tenants receive exceptional service. Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance, managing tenant relations, supporting lease administration, assisting with financial reporting, and performing accurate data entry.
This position requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills and offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative and fast-paced team. You’ll report directly to the Director of Property Management and contribute meaningfully to the overall success of the portfolio and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Property Managers with daily management and operations of commercial properties (office, retail, industrial).
- Serve as a point of contact for tenants; address inquiries, service requests, and concerns promptly.
- Assist in facilitating inspections, , etc.
- Support lease administration including data entry, generating lease abstracts, tracking lease expirations, renewals, and rent escalations.
- Assist in the preparation of operating budgets, monthly financial reports, and tenant statements.
- Assist in coding payables and ensuring accurate and timely payment of vendor invoices.
- Maintain accurate property records including vendor contracts, certificates of insurance, and maintenance logs.
- Provide administrative support including scheduling, documentation, correspondence, and filing.
- Help coordinate tenant move-ins/outs as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business, Real Estate, or related field, preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in property management, real estate, or facilities management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, Spectra, AppFolio) is a plus.
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
- Ability to interpret lease documents and manage tenant compliance.
- Basic understanding of property financials including budgets and expense management.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
