Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of property management principles, Fair Housing regulations, and leasing processes. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to conflict management, and the ability to foster positive relationships with tenants and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and local laws governing property management.
- Conduct property inspections to ensure maintenance standards are met and address any issues promptly.
- Handle tenant inquiries and concerns with professionalism, utilizing strong phone etiquette.
- Implement effective marketing strategies to attract potential tenants, including upselling available units.
- Coordinate lease agreements, renewals, and terminations in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and property status.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure timely repairs and upkeep of properties.
- Resolve conflicts between tenants or between tenants and management in a fair and efficient manner.
Experience
- Proven experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and property leasing laws is essential.
- Strong sales skills with experience in upselling properties or services is a plus.
- Familiarity with CMMS software is advantageous for managing maintenance requests effectively.
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle tenant disputes professionally.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple properties simultaneously.
