ROLE OVERVIEW
PURPOSE OF JOB
To assist with the management of the ICS Financial team responsible for the delivery of financial information for trading entities located in the UK and Ireland (including monthly management accounts, analysis of MI, yearly statutory accounts preparation, audits and financial corporate governance).
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
- Preparation and submission of regulatory returns.
- Preparation of year-end statutory financial statements under relevant accounting standards.
- Assist the manager with the running of audits of regulated entities (at both interim and year-end), liaising with auditors on accounting and reporting issues and managing audit deliverables and queries to ensure that filing deadlines are met.
- Take an active role in the annual budgeting process for the region.
- Take ownership of liaising with external tax providers with regards to relevant filings to deadline.
- Adhere to JTC core values and expected behaviours.
- Adhere to Risk & Associate Compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation.
- Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Hold or be nearing completion of a relevant professional qualification.
- Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of accounting standards (UK GAAP and IFRS).
- Able to provide input, feedback and lead on work as required.
- Experience in financial statements preparation.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
