About the Team
The New Verticals team is building the future of local commerce—by redefining how people access everyday essentials and by expanding the frontiers of what’s possible on DoorDash. Since launching in 2020, we’ve built and scaled high-performing operations across Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail and we’re just getting started.
DoorDash Grocery is where business builders, product thinkers, and operators come to learn how to 10x impact. We serve millions of consumers, Dashers, and local businesses. We work on zero-to-one bets, turn insights into impact fast, experiment at a rapid pace, and use AI not just to automate but to invent. If you want to learn how to build something enduring, and you want your fingerprints on the next generation of local commerce, this is the place to do it.
About the Role
As we continue to accelerate our Grocery business, we’re looking to hire an Associate to lead Affordability & Revenue on the Grocery P&L team. In this role, you’ll shape the strategy and execution of grocery pricing, promotions, and new revenue streams that make grocery delivery more accessible. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams to pilot new affordability initiatives, define new revenue streams, and unlock growth through CPG/Ads, promotions, and experimentation. You will report into a Senior Manager and we operate in a hybrid model.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Operate. Own and optimize performance metrics related to price competitiveness, promotional efficiency, and new grocery-specific sources of CPG revenue.
- Analyze. Use SQL and Excel to uncover insights on consumer behavior, pricing dynamics, and campaign performance.
- Experiment. Launch “zero to one” pilots that test new affordability or monetization ideas, and scale what works.
- Build. Help craft the long-term strategy for how DoorDash becomes the best place to shop for grocery.
- Collaborate. Work closely with the CPG team, platform affordability team, marketing, finance, merchant teams, product, and other partners to bring new ideas to life.
We’re excited about you because…
- You have 1-3+ years of experience in growth, strategy, revenue management, consulting, or a related analytical role.
- You’re an owner. You take accountability for results and continuously raise the bar on your work.
- You’re entrepreneurial. You thrive in zero-to-one environments and are eager to test, build, and scale.
- You’re analytical. You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity through data and insight, and can self-serve in SQL and Excel. Strong nice-to-have’s: Python and experience using AI-coding and analytics tools.
- You think from first principles. You break down problems rigorously and aren’t afraid to challenge assumptions.
- You’re versatile. You can alternate between executional detail and high-level strategy with ease.
- You’re resilient. You embrace change, welcome hard problems, and stay focused in an evolving environment.
- You have a Bachelor’s Degree and a passion for building the future of local commerce.
