Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinates with branch manager in implementing and carrying out bank policy and procedures with respect to overall operations of branch. Includes handling of consumer loans with officer approval.
Job Functions
- Demonstrates skills and behaviors necessary to achieve growth of deposit solutions, referrals to business partners and sharing successes in an effort to build customer relationships.
- Acquires and deepens customer relationships through the identification of needs and by matching appropriate solutions through deposit growth activities.
- Meets and exceeds deposit growth and incentive goals with the utmost of accuracy and highest ethical standards.
- Opens new business and personal accounts, including checking, savings, certificate of deposit, safe deposit boxes and all other accounts and services offered by the bank.
- Accepts wire transfer requests, verifying information and availability of funds.
- Assists customers with requests and/or complaints, research account problems.
- Provides a friendly, yet professional level of customer service to both external and internal customers.
- Provides customers with information on all aspects of deposit accounts and bank services including rates, service charges, restrictions, and other relevant account information.
- Supervises teller balancing procedures; assist tellers with problems and questions on procedures.
- Audits teller cash drawers regularly.
- Processes consumer loan applications accurately, submit for underwriting, follow through until closing.
- Opens and closes the bank.
- Performs teller duties as needed.
- May assist with administrative and other bank-related activities while not assisting a customer. These tasks could include those assigned by your supervisor or by Operations, Finance or Marketing.
- Acts as Branch Manager in their absence. This may vary based upon how the branch or market is structured. Has the overall responsibility for all operational aspects of the branch operations.
- Daily GL balancing and reconciliation.
- Fulfills other periodic job-related duties which are assigned by management and not already part of this job description.
- Complies with all applicable banking regulations and BSA/AML program, requirements, and controls.
- Complies with all department and Bank policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Certification
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent
Experience
- Five or more years of banking experience;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; great conversational skill needed;
- The ability to maintain the highest degree on confidentiality and professional discretion;
- The strong desire to serve others.
- Good understanding of bank financial services and products.
