Job Description Summary:
The Branch Manager will be responsible for leading a team of loan officers to achieve production goals and growth through strategic initiatives, coaching, mentoring and problem solving. As a Branch Manager, you will be proactive in retaining current employees and driving sales performance. You will lead by example through encouraging open communication, and trust between sales and operational departments. You will also strive to engage team members in healthy competition!
What You’ll Do:
Identify, recruit, and onboard top-tier loan officers with proven referral networks and a strong track record of production.
Lead the strategic shift from a consumer direct model to a hybrid retail platform by implementing referral-driven growth tactics and building strong local market relationships.
Foster a culture shift that supports relationship-based sales, helping existing team members transition from a call center mindset to a community- and referral-focused approach.
Build partnerships with realtors, builders, and other local professionals to establish a sustainable pipeline of purchase business and increase market penetration.
Leverage existing industry relationships to generate consistent, high-quality referral business and expand the company’s market presence.
Manage the day-to-day loan origination process from point of contact to closing of the loan
Monitor and manage daily production activity to ensure a high level of efficiency and profitability
Assist team in cultivating new and ongoing business through referrals
Develop and mentor a successful sales team capable of consistently meeting and exceeding monthly stats/production goals
Maintain a high level of integrity of daily functions
Create a sense of teamwork, synergy and pride
Ability to access individual team member’s strengths and areas of improvement
Promote a high level of customer service with borrower exchange, 3rd party vendors, and real estate agents
Manage schedules, time off, commission reports, and overtime
Strive to outpace the competition and assist Veterans First Mortgage in becoming a Top Ten VA Lender in the Nation!
Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-5+ years’ mortgage loan origination experience, with production in the top 20% tier
2-3+ years’ previous management experience or proven leadership ability
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including EXCEL
Extensive knowledge of Salesforce and Encompass
Thorough understanding of product/underwriting guidelines and compliance criteria
Able to effectively analyze credit, PQ’s, and LTP file submission
Ability to provide constructive criticism with a collaborative outcome
Ability to handle personal matters in a discreet and professional manner
Quest to continually learn and educate self on industry practices and market indicators

Compensation:
The estimated minimum salary for this role is $72,000 along with eligibility to earn monthly commissions. Actual salary may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s location, qualifications, skills and experience.
