Job Title: Banquet Server and Set Up
Department: Banquets
Reports To: Banquet Manager
Summary: : A Banquet Server & Set Up employee, you will assist with the coordination and service delivery of food and beverages to provide a memorable experience to our guests.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Maintain standards of quality, service and cleanliness of banquet rooms, public areas and storage areas.
- Set up banquet areas, tables and serving stations according to the BEO and Standards.
- Prepare tables for meals, including the complete set up of linens, silverware and glassware.
- Greet guests in a professional manner and provide education about the food and beverage menus.
- Prepare and serve non-alcoholic drinks
- Serve meals/courses from kitchen and/or replenish buffet items
- Attend to guest needs throughout event and communicate any special needs
- Clear, clean and reset tables and banquet room at conclusion of each event
- Clean, restock and polish silverware, glasses, flatware, work area and other equipment
- Replenish supplies and vacuum
- Empty wastebaskets and remove trash and table linen
- Keep banquet and storage areas in clean and orderly condition
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior Banquet Set Up experience
- Ability to read and interpret a detailed banquet event order (BEO) including diagrams with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to lift and move multiple tables, chairs and AV equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. with reasonable accommodations.
- Knowledge of various types of equipment and set up styles used in meeting rooms, for example: round, boardroom, reception, U-Shaped, classroom etc.
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move or push goods on a hand cart/truck with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time with or without accommodations.
