As the Bar Manager at Stevens Point Country Club, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the bar, ensuring a high level of service and a welcoming atmosphere for our members and guests. You will manage staff, inventory, and financials while promoting a diverse and dynamic beverage program.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Staff Management:
- Train, supervise, and mentor bar staff to provide exceptional service.
- Lead team of bartenders.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems
2. Bar Operations:
- Oversee daily bar operations, including setup, service, and cleanup.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and club policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Enforcing service standards.
3. Beverage Program Development:
- Curate and update the beverage menu, including cocktails, wines, and spirits.
- Collaborate with vendors to select high-quality products and manage inventory.
- Monitor trends and innovate new offerings to enhance member experience.
4. Inventory and Financial Management:
- Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies, and controlling costs.
- Track sales, expenses, and labor costs to meet budgetary goals.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports on bar performance.
5. Customer Experience:
- Foster a welcoming environment, ensuring high levels of member satisfaction.
- Address member inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Organize and execute special events, tastings, and promotions.
-Interact with membership and guests.
6. Collaboration:
- Work closely with culinary and event teams to coordinate beverage service for special occasions.
- Help organize member events.
- Attend weekly management meetings to contribute insights and updates.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bar manager or in a similar role within a high-volume bar or restaurant, preferably in a country club or upscale setting.
- Excellent knowledge of cocktails, wines, and spirits.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about excellent hospitality.
- A focus on customer service and detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Education:
- High school diploma required, degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
- Bartending certification and knowledge of mixology techniques is a plus.
