Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our dynamic team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving high-quality beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our customers.
Duties
- Greet customers and take orders in a friendly and efficient manner
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including boba, coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee bar and surrounding areas
- Handle cash transactions and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system
- Provide excellent customer service and handle customer complaints or issues
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
- Prepare and package food items, such as pastries and sandwiches
- Manage time effectively to meet customer demand and maintain a high level of service
- Maintain a thorough understanding of retail math, including handling cash and making change
- Meet or exceed sales goals and provide recommendations to customers
- Utilize a POS system, including Square POS, to process transactions and manage inventory
- Perform basic math calculations, such as making change and calculating tips
- Prepare food and drinks according to company standards and health regulations
- Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas to maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety
Experience
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a related customer service role is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation and handling practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm during peak hours
- Basic math skills and cash handling experience
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math
- Experience with food preparation and presentation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.50 per hour
