We are currently seeking a full-time bartender. Sugar Champagne Bar focuses heavily on champagne, craft cocktails, fine spirits, and rare wines. Our ideal candidate has a passion for creating exciting, well-balanced cocktails in a high-end luxurious environment. Our bartenders are expected to have a deep understanding of the menu, including the ingredients, preparation methods, and flavor profiles. As well as the Sugar Champagne Bar vision.

You'd also be working with our Advanced Sommelier and have a weekly educational wine/champagne class.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Qualified candidates must be able to satisfactorily complete the following responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintain knowledge of Sugar Champagne Bar’s brand, culture, and products.
- Mindfully serve alcoholic beverages with a keen sense of judgment.
- Establish consistent communication with FOH, BOH, the beverage team, and management.
- Provide attentive service while anticipating needs.
- Maintain bar cleanliness and organization.
- Offer menu insight and recommendations when appropriate.
- Properly input guest orders through the POS system (TOAST).
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Maintain current and accurate knowledge of the menu offerings.
- Manage inventory for liquor, wine, beer, and other beverage ingredients.
- Work closely with the beverage manager to develop new seasonal and featured cocktails.

- Previous experience in a craft cocktail establishment
- Champagne, wine knowledge, and craft cocktail knowledge preferred.
- 2+ years of bartending and serving experience in fine dining establishment is preferred.
- Must have a personable demeanor and friendly personality.
- Prioritize and organize work assignments, have timely follow up and execution.
- Have superb time management skills.
- Ability to comply with physical demands as outlined below.
- If applicable, must meet any required minimum age to serve alcohol.
- Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule.
REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma required. Minimum 1 year previous experience as a bartender. Minimum 2 years previous experience in a high-end bar and/or restaurant. Additional hotel and/or restaurant experience preferred. Must have any legally required bartending certifications, if applicable. Additional certifications (ServSafe, TiPS, etc.) preferred.

Sit, walk, and stand continuously.
Lift / carry 25lbs (frequently) and 50lbs (occasionally)
Bend, squat, crawl, and reach above shoulder level.
Use dominant hand coordination for simple grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine manipulation.
May be exposed to extreme temperatures, dust, dampness, height, and moving machinery.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly (Based on Experience) plus tips
