Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to upholding resident rights and adhering to care plans while providing direct support in various settings, including home care and nursing homes.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Monitor and document client progress and changes in condition, reporting any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information.
- Support clients with mobility assistance, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Facilitate social interactions and encourage participation in activities that promote physical and mental well-being.
- Advocate for the rights of residents and ensure their dignity is maintained at all times.
Qualifications
- Must be Bilingual
- Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred, especially in long-term care or home care settings.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and resident rights is essential.
- Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is beneficial but not mandatory.
