Caring for Families Social Services is hiring for the position of Bilingual (English/Spanish) Support Coordinator to work with adults with adults 21+ diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities in NJ. This position is available Full Time Position.
We are seeking a self-motivated and compassionate individual with experience working with adults diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
You must have excellent writing and communication skills, flexibility, a reliable car and driver's license, and be dedicated to helping others. Attention to detail and computer skills are also required.
Responsibilities include making initial in-home visits, creating Individual Service Plans (ISPs), attending interdisciplinary team meetings, quarterly face-to-face contacts, annual home visits, and making regular phone contacts.
You will work with individuals and their families to connect them with community resources and support to help them meet their goals and aspirations.
Previous support coordination experience is strongly preferred. Additional unpaid training for certification and supervision will be provided. Bilingual in the Spanish language is preferred.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree with a preference for a degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related human services field.
- A minimum of one year experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Be able to travel through the Counties of NJ.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- Previous Support Coordination experience and Completion of DDD's Support Coordination orientation strongly preferred.
Salary: $20 hourly rate
