Assisting the Billing Department to accurately and timely process all bi-monthly water utility bills on a rotating eight-week cycle for approximately 34,000 customers.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Billing Dept. to accurately and timely process all bi-monthly water utility billing statements.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and collaborate with customer service regarding customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Data entry of meter reads into the Tyler ERP Pro billing system.
- Process service orders for leak adjustments and disconnect requests.
- Process meter change outs and ensure meter information is accurate.
- Check the data input in the billing system to ensure accuracy of final bill.
- Work cohesively on a regular basis with the Meter Technicians, and Customer Service Staff.
- Assist the Accounting and Billing department with other related duties, projects, and correspondences as needed.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of Billing experience (preferred)
- Prior utility billing experience is plus
- Proficient in MS Office to include Excel; Working knowledge of relevant software, Tyler ERP Pro 10
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and colleagues
- Data entry skills with the ability to type at least 40 wpm
- Associate’s degree in business related field preferred
