Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician – Account Manager to join our growing team. This hybrid role combines hands-on technical expertise with client relationship management. You will be responsible for managing biomedical equipment services for assigned clients, both remotely and on-site aboard vessels around the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, calibrations, and repairs on a wide range of medical equipment.
- Manage client biomedical asset data, including tracking equipment movement and maintaining accurate records in our CMMS.
- Provide remote technical support and collaborate with shipboard medical teams.
- Coordinate with vendors and service partners to complete service jobs and manage recalls/alerts.
- Conduct incoming inspections and quality assurance checks on new equipment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client teams through regular meetings and updates.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field; or completion of a military biomedical training program.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a biomedical technician or field service role.
- Certifications: AAMI CABT required; CBET highly desired.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of medical devices including defibrillators, ventilators, infusion pumps, sterilizers, and diagnostic imaging systems.
- Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite, CMMS platforms, and diagnostic software.
- Knowledge of Standards: Familiarity with NFPA, FDA, NRC, TJC, and AAMI regulations.
- Other Requirements:
- Valid U.S. passport and ability to obtain TWIC and Port ID cards.
- Reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% and work weekends as needed.
- Strong communication skills in English (additional languages a plus).
