Job Summary
The Breakfast Attendant at Residence Inn Stillwater is responsible for preparing and serving the complimentary breakfast buffet while ensuring a clean, welcoming, and well-stocked dining area for guests. This role requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain Marriott brand standards for food quality and presentation.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service & Hospitality
- Greet guests warmly and ensure they have a positive dining experience.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while assisting guests with breakfast items and special requests.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to any concerns or questions.
Food Preparation & Presentation
- Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet according to brand standards.
- Prepare, cook, and display breakfast items, including hot and cold food selections.
- Ensure all food is fresh, properly labeled, and replenished throughout the breakfast service.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage and handling.
Cleanliness & Organization
- Maintain a clean and organized breakfast area, including tables, counters, and food stations.
- Regularly wipe down and sanitize surfaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Monitor and restock supplies such as utensils, plates, napkins, and beverages.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, including coffee machines, toasters, and warming trays.
Inventory & Compliance
- Monitor food inventory and notify management of low stock or ordering needs.
- Follow all Marriott and health department food handling guidelines.
- Properly store and label leftover food according to safety regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or customer service preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- ServSafe or food handler certification (preferred but not required).
