Building Maintenance Supervisor
General Summary:
Salish Kootenai College seeks applicants for Building Maintenance Supervisor. The position’s basic function is to maintain SKC property to ensure a safe work environment for staff, faculty and students.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the safe maintenance of campus buildings.
- Repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems.
- Maintain computer operation and perform skilled, complex work in the repair, maintenance, and installation of heating and ventilation and cooling systems for campus buildings.
- Maintain interior area of campus buildings
- Position includes supervision of crews and be able to work with little supervision.
- Candidate required to provide self-direction for identifying and completing tasks.
- Key making, lock cylinder pinning, and coding for all general doors.
- Work hours must be flexible to allow for working weekdays, weekends, days, evenings and holidays as needed due to emergency situations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Five years responsible experience in building and mechanical equipment, maintenance and repair and/or operation of large facility is required.
- Must have experience in Heavy Equipment Operation and forklift operation.
- Operational experience of HVAC computerized and mechanical systems required.
- 8-10 Years of Supervisor experience (work with custodial supervisor at times to coordinate building deep cleaning operation), preferred.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
