We are seeking a reliable, energetic Busser/Food Runner to join our restaurant team. In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dining area, as well as ensuring food is delivered to guests promptly and accurately. You’ll work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to provide a seamless and exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Busser:
- Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently.
- Clean and sanitize table surfaces, chairs, and floors between guests.
- Refill water glasses and assist servers with beverage service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining and service areas.
- Restock server stations with necessary supplies (e.g. napkins, silverware, condiments).
- Assist in preparing the restaurant for service and closing duties.
As a Food Runner:
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the correct table promptly.
- Announce dishes to guests upon delivery and ensure correct items are served.
- Coordinate with kitchen and serving staff to ensure food quality and presentation standards are met.
- Assist with any guest requests related to the meal delivery.
- Return dirty dishes to the kitchen and help with plate-up or expediting, if needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality role is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Professional and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
