ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees staff and manages the day-to-day operations of Casino Cages.
- Responsible for daily and weekly cash requirements for an efficient operation.
- Ensures accurate accounting of cage transactions. Ensure company assets are secure at all times and maintain their integrity. Ensures proper verification and documentation of transactions.
- Responsible for all aspects of the Cage check cashing process, including processing applications, auditing, and NSFs.
- Trains, develops, and coaches all Cage personnel on proper procedures and performance of job duties.
- Coordinate information and tasks with various designated departments. Interacts with these departments through the performance of Cage tasks.
- Schedules staff in an efficient manner to best cover the demands of the business. Performs, when necessary, as a backup to cage/cashiering staff.
- Monitor and improve guest services as related to Cage operations to ensure the highest level of customer service. Develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with all customers and employees.
- Address guest complaints and disputes in a timely and courteous manner.
- Report and investigate any cage variance.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed in an efficient and timely manner.
- Maintain a positive atmosphere of teamwork between cage employees and other department employees.
- Perform all responsibilities in compliance with various federal and state regulations and in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, security procedures, and all internal policies and procedures.
- Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
- Perform additional duties as needed, including special projects.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of related Cage experience. Knowledge of Cage and Count Room operations and the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, and all internal policies and procedures or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience supervising and motivating staff.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in problem-solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance, or the equivalent in education and experience.
- Three (3) or more years of recent and related casino experience or equivalent.
- Two (2) or more years of related managerial experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties involve performing physical exertion such as frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, and pushing various materials, equipment, and supplies in order to perform duties. These physical demands are required frequently for several hours. Sitting and/or standing throughout an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties may require lifting up to 30 pounds.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$70,000 - $75,000 annually based on experience
