The Crescent Beach Club is currently hiring a Catering Admin to handle all customer service duties by answering questions and providing necessary catering information provided by the Director of Sales & Events Manager The catering admin may schedule appointments for potential clients to evaluate the catering hall to determine if it fits their needs for an affair. This position is in a fast paced environment with exposure to all aspects of special event planning. We are looking for a flexible team player with excellent time management skills. This position would be perfect for a recent college graduate looking to gain experience or someone looking to take a step back from the events industry.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests as soon as they arrive and connect them with the proper sales personnel
- Answer the phone in a timely and courteous manner and direct phone calls or take detailed messages
- General office duties such as copying and filing
- Maintain a high level of customer service while working in a fast paced, high stress environment

- Qualifications
- At least two to three years of catering related experience required.
- Weekend Availability
- Computer knowledge including full working knowledge of MS Office applications, Internet, caterease, google calendar, email, and superior keyboard skills.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages
- Intermediate computer skills including word-processing, spreadsheets, database, and e-mail required.
- Superior organization and guest service abilities required.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills required.
- Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to guests and other associates of the company.
- Strong proofreading abilities.
- Experience in checking in items for the day of the event
- Experience in processing final payments and recording payments with accounting
- Demonstrate skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to defuse difficult and sometimes emotionally charged situations to maintain the guest’s goodwill.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, and kneel for long periods of time.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
