Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and comfort while promoting independence.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition.
- Monitor and document vital signs as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records for each client.
- Assist with catheter care and other specialized health needs.
- Support clients in mobility and transportation to appointments or social activities.
- Ensure a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding changes in client condition or needs.
- Provide hospice care as required, ensuring comfort during end-of-life stages.
Experience
- Previous experience in senior care or as a Home Health Aide is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices is beneficial.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform basic medical tasks, including taking vital signs and assisting with catheter care.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families.
- A clean background check is required prior to employment.
