Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and management, with experience in fine dining and catering. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety standards. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in menu planning and executing high-quality dishes that delight our guests.
Responsibilities
- Design and prepare innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and presentation meet our high standards.
- Manage food production processes, including preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and order as necessary to maintain stock.
- Assist in catering events by planning menus, coordinating logistics, and executing service.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role, preferably in fine dining or catering environments.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Experience in menu planning and food management is highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
- Bartending experience is a plus but not required.
- A passion for culinary arts and a desire to create memorable dining experiences for guests.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 60 per week
