The Chemical Compounder/Blender/Mixer

is responsible for creating product batches by following established formulas and recipes, while adhering to cGMP and Safety requirements to ensure manufacturing of products is consistent with established procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Stages, verifies, delivers and compounds in the appropriate batching tank all raw materials required for bulk production manufacturing.
  • Performs visual quality checks of raw materials, identifies discrepancies and/or adverse chemical reactions and notifies Quality Department.
  • Assist with the compliance of GMP’s and company policy and procedures for cosmetic manufacturing.
  • Assure batch records are maintained and archived according to company requirements and SOP’s.
  • Hold team members accountable for cleaning the work area and maintaining equipment cleaning.
  • Monitor chemical levels and notify supervisor if necessary.
  • Be able to have a good working knowledge of math, weights, and measurements so that recipes are correctly followed.
  • Cover and put away chemicals used for the day.
  • Dispose of waste from the lab and production floor. Keep the compounding area mopped and clean thus operating in a clean environment.
  • Ensure manufacturing of products is consistent with established procedures and quality standards.
  • Transport materials (via Tow motor) from shipping to production.
  • Clean, Mop, and Sanitize the mixing machines, compounding equipment (buckets, drums etc.), chemical area, and compounding area.
  • Maintain safety in compounding area.
  • Label all finished products before storage or releasing to packaging.
  • Communicate with Supervisor on production issues.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years prior experience as a compounder, batch mixing, or blending operator.
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Accurate basic math skills.
  • Fluent English communication skills to read/understand policies and procedures, following instructions precisely to ensure product is manufactured to specific standards, maintain written logs and records, perform data entry, understand verbal instructions, and discuss problems with supervisors and other staff.
  • You're a team player who enjoys working collaboratively and also able to work independently.
  • Demonstrates positive and productive team member interaction.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, twist, crouch, kneel.
  • Able to tolerate working in environments with fluctuating temperatures, moderate noise levels, and exposure to chemicals.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols, including wearing applicable personal protective equipment.

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 7:00am – 3:30pm

Salary: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
