Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a deep understanding of childhood development. This role involves fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can thrive, learn, and develop essential skills. The Preschool Teacher Assistant will be responsible for assisting Lead Teacher with implementing lesson plans that incorporate various subjects while fostering a love for learning in each child.
Duties
- Assist with implementing lesson plans
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages social interaction and emotional growth.
- Utilize effective communication skills to engage with children, parents, and staff members.
- Assess and document children's progress in various areas, including social skills, cognitive development, and physical abilities.
- Assisting with toileting/diapering as needed.
- Collaborate with other educators to create an integrated curriculum that meets the needs of all students, including those requiring special education support.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment that adheres to health and safety regulations.
- Provide individualized support to children as needed, ensuring each child's unique learning style is accommodated.
Qualifications

- Knowledge of the Montessori Curriculum preferred but not necessary.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with lesson planning techniques and curriculum development for young learners.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create a nurturing atmosphere that promotes exploration, independence, and student-led learning.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
