What You will Do
As a Claims Manager, you will lead a team of adjusters and support staff, managing a high-volume portfolio of complex commercial and residential property damage claims. You will drive strategy, ensure client satisfaction, and foster team development.
- Manage active property damage claims from intake to resolution.
- Lead and mentor a team of adjusters and administrative staff.
- Analyze insurance policies and resolve coverage disputes.
- Collaborate with field experts, legal teams, and external partners.
- Ensure compliance, documentation accuracy, and timely outcomes.
- Identify process improvements and monitor performance metrics.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in property insurance claims (public or carrier-side).
- Proven leadership in managing complex, high-volume claims.
- Strong understanding of insurance policy interpretation and claims handling.
- Proficiency in Xactimate and industry-standard tools.
- NYS Public Adjuster License preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
