Position Title:
Community Commercial Resource Officer
Department and Reports to:
Public Security and Wellness Manager
Summary of Position:
The Community Commercial Resource Officer will be responsible for protecting our premises,
assets, and personnel by maintaining a safe and secure environment. The ideal candidate will
have excellent observational skills, a strong sense of integrity, and the ability to respond
effectively to incidents.
Essential Functions (list in order of importance including measures):
- Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors,
- Monitor surveillance equipment and inspect buildings and access points
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, and report any suspicious activities
- Control access to facilities by verifying identification and issuing visitor passes
- Write detailed reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
- Participate in the Vehicle Booting Program
- Provide assistance to employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
