The Community Health Improvement summer intern will work with the support team for the Boston Community Health Collaborative, a multi-sector partnership including healthcare institutions, community organizations, and public health working to improve the health of Boston residents through aligning health assessment and improvement planning efforts.   This internship will provide a hands-on opportunity to gain skills in partnership development, data visualization, public health communications, and research and evaluation.   DUTIES:

• Works to help BPHC advance as an antiracist organization by meeting or exceeding the standards
  set by the BPHC Anti-Racism Policy.
• Contribute to the development of promotional materials including working with staff to draft content for the Collaborative newsletter.
• Develop public-facing materials summarizing the findings from the Boston Community Health Needs Assessment for a lay audience (one pagers, infographics, etc).
• Support staff in identifying a list of new/future partners to engage in community health improvement planning efforts and analyzing composition of current partnership network, gaps, and opportunities.
• Conduct research into emerging best practices and collaborative strategies to support community health improvement planning.

• Good time management and ability to communicate in a professional manner
• Willingness to learn new skills & work as part of a team Preferred skills:
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Teams, MS Outlook, Adobe
• Proficiency with graphic design tools such as Canva highly desired.
• Experience working with diverse communities, especially in the city of Boston. Bilingual students strongly encouraged to apply.
• Experience developing health education, public health, or related materials for a lay audience
