Churchill McGee LLC, a respected general contractor specializing in commercial construction, has an immediate opening for an Estimator to lead our expanding work in the Central Kentucky area.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Estimate costs for commercial construction projects.
- Create and submit competitive bids on time.
- Schedule project steps and budget time to meet deadlines.
- Analyze project specs, drawings, and documentation for cost estimates.
- Identify and communicate risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with project managers for estimate accuracy.
- Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits for information.
- Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Prepare and negotiate contracts with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
- Proficient in construction estimating software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Education and Other Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
- OSHA 10 certification (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and own transportation required.
