Network Construction Manager – Fiber
Location: Indianapolis, IN / Louisville, KY / Ohio area (Remote, with local travel)
Travel: ~25% travel to Indiana or Kentucky project sites
Remote Work: 100% remote (with monthly internet/cell reimbursement + mileage)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Network Construction Manager – Fiber to support both the administrative and field aspects of our fiber network construction projects. This hybrid role focuses 75% on office-based support functions such as purchase orders, invoicing, and vendor communication, and 25% on field support, including project site visits across Indiana and Kentucky.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase orders (POs), construction milestones (CMs), and vendor invoices.
- Track project deliverables, key performance indicators (KPIs), and splicing progress reports.
- Review and distribute fiber splice design packages and communicate with vendors for coordination and billing.
- Assist with budget forecasting and reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams on end-to-end fiber splicing and construction processes.
- Support and manage field construction and splicing crews as needed.
- Travel to sites (~25%) to support implementation and ensure adherence to design and safety standards.
Top Required Skills:
- Vendor Management – coordinate with fiber splicing and construction contractors.
- Fiber Splicing Knowledge – review splicing packages, diagrams, and support OTDR testing.
- Construction Experience – field knowledge in OSP and ISP fiber builds.
- Office CM Experience – administrative oversight of construction milestones and invoicing.
- Excel Skills – mid-level proficiency for tracking and reporting.
- Familiarity with Smartsheet or other project management tools is a plus.
Preferred Experience:
- 3+ years in telecommunications or wireless construction.
- Knowledge of aerial/underground Outside Plant (OSP) techniques.
- Familiarity with OTDR and power meter testing.
- Understanding of NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards.
- Experience with service delivery and closeout packages.
- Ability to read blueprints and splicing diagrams.
Education & Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License (for travel to project sites).
Reimbursement & Expenses:
- Mileage reimbursement for all travel.
- Monthly reimbursement for standard internet and mobile expenses.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
