Job Description
We need a full-time Controller who can hit the ground running. This position will be responsible for leading the financial health of the organization. As the Controller, you will report directly to the CEO and be a part of our leadership team collaborating on strategic planning and expansion efforts. Are you the right fit for Gen V?

Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and monthly reporting packages
- Oversee budgeting and financial forecasting processes
- Maintain financial controls to protect company assets
- Manage accounts payable, cash flow, and liquidity planning
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Negotiate banking, merchant processing, and financing terms
- Oversee preparation of state and federal tax filings
- Analyze financial performance and identify areas for improvement or cost savings
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and reporting standards
- Support CEO in financial planning and strategic initiatives
- Complete ad hoc projects for CEO or leadership team
- Oversee financial software and technology systems
- Focus on process improvement while identifying ways to increase efficiency and profitability
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus
- Minimum 5 years of relevant financial management, public accounting, or controller experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
- Excellent computer skills including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other financial software
- Experience with Sequel and advanced reporting tools is a plus
- Retail industry experience preferred
