POSITION SUMMARY:
Monday – Friday: 6:30 am – 3:00 pm
Performs specialized custodial duties and assignments that require skill, responsibility and physical effort. Such duties include daily vacuuming, window cleaning, trash chute cleaning, stairwell cleaning, elevator and laundry room cleaning. Also aids the maintenance department as directed, including emergency repairs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Friendly and positive attitude. Provides customer service to all guests and residents.
2. Strives to keep the Ilikai Marina clean and in orderly conditioning, while being mindful of any issues which need to be report to security, management, or maintenance.
3. Completes the Daily Custodial Duties, along with the Weekly and Periodic Custodial Duties as directed.
4. Performs specialized cleaning of the Ilikai Marina, including vacuuming, carpet cleaning and, shampooing.
5. Cleans and maintains all service equipment in good working condition.
6. Maintains a clean and organized working environment, including storage units and cleaning carts.
7. Keeps a detailed log of all materials under the Custodial department, and requests supplies in a timely fashion.
8. Perform duties in compliance with Ilikai Marina occupational safety and health guidelines.
9. Perform related duties as directed or required.
Daily Custodial Duties:
1. Daily Planning
- Check the office for any projects
2. Laundry Room Inspection – Twice Daily
- Wipe down the laundry machines, throw away any items, and empty the trash
3. Elevators
- Clean all 4 elevators in a quick and timely fashion
- Secure the elevator on the 7th floor by placing it in Independent Service mode
- Clean the mirrors, wipe down the handrails, disinfect the floor buttons, and clean all stainless steel
4. Elevator Landings, Floors 7 - 3
- Sweep the elevator landings towards the parking garage, including the stairs
- Sweep the stairs and handrail leading down to the parking next to the elevators
- Sweep the landings leading into the Diamond Stairwell
5. Hobron Bridge
- Sweep the Hobron Bridge
- Check the planters and remove all trash hidden in the foliage
6. Main Lobbies
- Dry mop both lobbies
- Sweep the main entrance stairs, the spiral staircase, and stairs leading into the parking lot
- Shake out and clean the main entrance rugs
- Clean the stairs and hallway leading to the Harbor Pub bathrooms
- Vacuum the soft sitting area
- Empty all public trash cans
7. Hallways
- Vacuum the hallways, 2-18
- Sweep and clean the landings leading to the Diamond Head stairwell
Weekly Custodial Assignments:
Monday – Trash Chutes
- Mop and clean all trash chute rooms
Tuesday – Recycling
- Move the recycling bins on the 7th floor down to the 1st floor trash area
Wednesday – Glass
- Wipe and clean all the glass in the main lobbies, including the security office, picture frames, glass decoration, etc.
Thursday – Projects
- Wipe and clean all jealousies
- Any other specialty projects as directed
Friday – Shampoo Carpet
- Use the Carpet Shampoo machine, complete 4 floors each Friday
Periodic Custodial Duties:
Monthly
- Carpet Cleaning
- Use the side to side to shampoo each floor.
- Parking Elevator Landings
- Wipe down the walls and railings floors 2-7, leading into the parking garage.
Bi-Annually
- Wax Lobby Flooring
- Strip and apply a new coat of wax to the lobby flooring.
- Apply a supplemental coat of wax sealant in October.
- Wallpaper
- Using a flat mop, wipe down the hallway wallpaper.
Annually
- Main Lobby Logo Wall
- Wash and scrub the wall behind the spiral staircase in the main lobby.
