Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cutter Grinder to join our manufacturing team. Idea candidate would be an experienced technician however training options are available. The candidate will be responsible for programming and operating grinding machines to produce precision cutting tools. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of machining processes, and the ability to read blueprints. The Grinder will play a key role in ensuring high-quality production standards are met while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Position offers flexible schedule in choice of 4x10 Shift Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm or 5X8 Shift Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm. Shift availability may be affected by level of experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate ANCA grinding machines to shape and finish special carbide and HSS cutting tools per print.
- Perform quality inspections on finished products using tools such as calipers, micrometers and shadow graphs.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Skills
- Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Proficient with cutting tool terminology.
- Experience with ANCA's specifically is preferred but not necessary.
- Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools is essential.
- Strong blueprint reading skills to interpret technical drawings effectively.
- Experience in quality inspection processes to ensure product standards are met.
