Help change the world and improve the lives of North Dakota citizens by providing compliance, risk, and controls expertise to support various information security initiatives and activities to Support Team ND. North Dakota Information Technology Department (NDIT) is seeking a Cyber Risk Analyst for our Cybersecurity division.
As a Cyber Risk Analyst, you will:
- Perform third-party risk assessments, assess third-party risk, and collaborate with business, vendor, and other stakeholders to advise on risk treatment plans
- Perform information system risk assessments on cloud or locally hosted IT solutions to identify risks and provide advisement on potential risk treatment plans to Information Security Officers and business stakeholders
- Ensure IT policies, standards, and procedures are consistent with the organization's mission and goals and ensure that security requirements are incorporated and successfully implemented when performing risk assessments
- Create and maintain plan of actions and milestones or remediation plans for risks identified during assessments Educate stakeholders on risk programs.
To excel in this role, you are naturally curious, continuously learning, and receptive to feedback and observation. With strong organizational skills, you can prioritize tasks effectively and manage your time to meet organizational standards. You foster and maintain positive working relationships, both independently and within a team. You are knowledgeable of industry cyber frameworks and have excellent communication and technical writing skills.
To be considered for this role, you must have completed a Cybersecurity apprenticeship, collegiate level cybersecurity certification program or have four (4) years of current and progressive work experience with computer system security activities, including assessing IT risks.
Additional formal education experience in Cybersecurity may be substituted for the professional work experience year requirement on a year for year basis.
