Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Dental Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental office management, and human resources, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and ensuring efficient office functionality. This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively manage staff, maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, and enhance the overall patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the dental office, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Manage financial aspects of the practice
- Supervise and train office staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional development.
- Implement and maintain office policies and procedures in compliance with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare standards.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, billing processes, and insurance verification to optimize office efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records
- Ensure proper utilization management and adherence to dental terminology within the practice.
- Collaborate with all dental professions to enhance office operations and improve patient satisfaction.
- Handle human resources functions including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and staff scheduling.
Experience
- Proven experience in dental office management or similar medical administrative roles is essential.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, records management, budgeting practices, and healthcare regulations (JCAHO).
- Experience in supervising staff within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Background in fiscal management or financial oversight within a medical or dental practice is advantageous.
- Additional experience in acute care or critical care environments may be beneficial for understanding diverse patient needs.
