Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Dental Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental clinic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in office management and fiscal management, as well as experience with employee management, schedule management, billing, and Dentrix, . This role requires exceptional leadership skills to supervise staff, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA. The Dental Practice Manager will play a crucial role in enhancing patient care and improving operational efficiencies within the practice.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the dental practice, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Manage financial aspects of the practice, including budgeting, fiscal management, and financial reporting.
- Supervise and train staff members, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA standards and medical terminology protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and oversee the management of patient information using EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks.
- Coordinate human resources functions, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations of staff.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve clinic operations and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care for patients requiring acute or critical care services.
- Monitor managed care contracts and ensure proper utilization management practices are followed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental office management or medical office experience is required.
- Strong supervisory experience with a focus on team leadership and development.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic, or eClinicalWorks is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare regulations (HIPAA).
- Experience in fiscal management, budgeting, and financial reporting within a clinical setting.
- Background in nursing or acute care is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and external partners.
