Job Summary
The Resident Care Associate plays a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to residents in assisted living and memory care environments. This position involves working closely with residents to ensure their daily needs are met, promoting their overall well-being, and maintaining a safe and clean living environment. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide direct support to residents with behavioral management needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Maintain cleanliness in resident areas, ensuring a hygienic environment that promotes health and safety.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that enhance their quality of life and cognitive function.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting their privacy and dignity at all times.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other team members to develop personalized care plans for each resident.
- Document care provided and any changes in resident condition accurately in accordance with facility policies.
Skills
- Experience in assisted living or retirement home settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of memory care principles and practices is advantageous.
- Proficient in behavior management techniques to support residents effectively.
- Strong understanding of first aid procedures and medication administration protocols.
- Ability to maintain a clean environment while adhering to health regulations.
