Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide essential support and care to individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs, ensuring adherence to best practices in long-term care.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, ensuring adherence to hygiene standards.
- Support clients in social activities and community engagement, promoting inclusion and participation.
- Advocate for the rights of residents, ensuring their voices are heard and respected in all aspects of their care.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving, social work, or patient care is preferred.
- Familiarity with dementia care and working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous.
- Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate effectively on behalf of clients is essential.
- Experience with vital signs monitoring and medication administration is a plus.
- A commitment to providing high-quality support while respecting client dignity and independence is required.
