Job Responsibilities/Duties
This position is for Group Home services. 7am to 7pm & 7pm to 7am shifts available.
The main duties will be to support the client with daily personal hygiene, daily living skills, and community participation. You will also support the client with the specific skill development that they need, safety skills, social skills, communication skills, and/or behavior skills. Documentation by support notes that detail all client support, moods, behaviors, activities, incidents, and community participation will be done daily.
DSP must be able to meet physical demands of position including, but not limited to: standing, bending, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50lbs, and intervening if an aggressive behavior were to occur.
Must be able to pass criminal background/central registry checks.
Completion and maintenance of CPR/First Aid/Tuberculosis testing/Behavior Management/company training is required for continued employment
Strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to communicate well verbally and written/typed.
High School Diploma or GED is required. At least one year of experience with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is required. CNA, PCA, Aides who have worked with individuals are encouraged to apply as well.
Required - valid driver's license, proof of education, auto insurance, and a working vehicle must be maintained.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
