Summary of Job Description
The Director of Farm Bureau Health Plans of Arkansas is responsible for coordinating growth and development strategies for the advancement, promotion and marketing of programs and benefit plans offered by Farm Bureau Health Plans of Arkansas, LLC.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree is required. Advanced education degree preferred.
- 6+ years related experience working with health insurance benefit plans, to include coordination and development of health plans, and/or health benefit sales experience.
- Legislative experience relating to health plans a plus.
- Requires effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to plan, coordinate, lead and conduct meetings, seminars and training sessions.

· Must be able to maintain a current, up-to-date command of legislative and policy changes and their effects on our organization.
· Must possess excellent organizational skills and demonstrate a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Proficiency with a variety of software/computer programs (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint).
· Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
· Flexibility to work varied and extended hours.
· Flexibility to travel in and out of state, including overnight travel.
· Ability to lift/carry up to 20 pounds.
· Regular and predictable attendance is required.
· 2+ yrs supervisory experience preferred.
Additional related experience with health benefit plans may be substituted in lieu of degree requirements.
