Advance the goals of the Division in support of the University Strategic Plan as a member of the Division’s Leadership Team. Manage strategic enrollment planning, marketing, and communications for the Division of Enrollment Management, as well as overseeing large-scale, projects for the division. Represent the Vice President at meetings and serve as a senior advisor to the Vice President.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advise the Vice President for Enrollment Management on matters related to enrollment planning, institutional visibility, and public relations. Participate in institutional planning and policy development regarding enrollment and student retention. Provide data-driven guidance for all aspects of student recruitment programs and initiatives, develop reports, and write executive summaries.
- Develop communication strategies for a variety of market segments that address prospective students and work with University Communications to implement strategies. Execute all communications on behalf of the Division of Enrollment Management, collaborating with various people and offices as necessary.
- Travel on behalf of the University domestically and internationally for student recruitment and to promote institutional visibility; participate in recruitment events; develop and execute strategies to engage counselors, alumni, family, and friends of the University; conduct interviews; evaluate applications; and advise students, parents, and counselors on matters related to admission and financial aid.
- Represents the Division and the University in a professional manner. Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
General supervision by the Vice President for Enrollment Management.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
Direct supervision of exempt staff members. Direct and indirect supervision of student employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required :
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in admission or enrollment management in higher education or transferrable skills (e.g., business development, continuous improvement, marketing, project management) from the corporate or non-profit sectors.
- Outstanding, demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, interpret, and utilize data to inform decision-making and creative problem solving.
- Strong technical skills, including experience with a CRM.
- Ability to communicate and interact with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external to the Denison community.
- Clear appreciation for and understanding of the value of higher education.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work in a high-stress, deadline-driven environment; able to infuse daily work with levity and balance; and able to achieve and celebrate success.
- Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills; outstanding listener with strong relational skills.
- Ability and commitment to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality.
- Demonstrated experience motivating and directing the actions of others, including experience in project management.
- Must have a current, valid driver's license and must be insurable under Denison’s liability insurance policy.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree.
- Experience working with the Technolutions Slate CRM.
- Experience working in a college admission or financial aid office.
This is an on-site role located on Denison's campus in Granville, OH.
The target salary for this position is $120,000 annually.
