Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of trash regularly.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic cooking and food handling.
- Support the culinary team during peak hours by bussing tables and ensuring that dining areas are clean and organized.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure efficient service during banquets and catering events.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen preferred; culinary experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong cleaning skills with an understanding of proper sanitation methods.
