We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly washed and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients.
- Support banquet services by ensuring all necessary items are clean and ready for events.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during peak service times.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with food service operations, including bussing, catering, and banquet experience is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong cleaning skills with an understanding of proper sanitation practices.
- Basic cooking knowledge is beneficial; culinary experience is a plus.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving others.
