We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly washed and sanitized. Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients.
- Support banquet services by ensuring all necessary items are clean and ready for events.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during peak service times.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with food service operations, including bussing, catering, and banquet experience is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong cleaning skills with an understanding of proper sanitation practices.
- Basic cooking knowledge is beneficial; culinary experience is a plus.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving others.
