Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure proper organization of clean items.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the kitchen.
- Help with bussing tables and clearing away used dishes during peak service times.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to support various tasks related to food handling and preparation.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to management promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, banquet, or catering setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and sanitation practices is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed.
